I would like to submit you further details concerning Giza Tunnels.
As known by anyone visited Egypt, it is possible sometimes to visit forbidden areas when you give some dollars to guides. Those guys are ready to supply you any kind of information (even Zahi Havass' private life) and to bring you anywhere you want. (pay attention when you are alone!)
During one of my visits to Egypt (in 1996 I think) I was guided by a local guide (although I hate to be disturbed by the guides around) and he said he would show something special if I gave him $20. We went to a special area near to the Pyramids but at the bottom of the plateau where the Pyramids are situated.
We entered through a hole by paying $5 to the guard there (you may see the pic in www.hermetics.org) and I was extremely surprised to see a lot of
gates openening to endless tunnels. I saw also many statues as you may see on the pictures. (It is strictly forbidden to take pictures but you may take some if you pay to the guard, as I did)
It seems to me that thse tunnels are very old but also used in later times as I saw some sacrophages which seem to be from very late periods.
I've been in Egypt several times but this was the first and the last time I saw those tunnels, as it was forbidden to go there.
I do not know if we are talking of the same tunnel system or not but I'm sure that those tunnels must have some explanation. But as you know , it is impossible to understand what's going on in Mr. Zawi Hawass mind. (If you remember his extraordinary discovery in March 2000, the Osiris's tomb. In fact it was a part of the initiation hall. But he only discovered (!) one
part.)

We have only informed you about a fact that there is a tunnel system there. Although I'm not an egyptolog I know what is a mastaba. In those pictures also the tombs can be clearly seen. But the fact is those tunnels do exist and the morphology of the area ,geologically, allows the construction of such tunnels.
On the other hand, this area has always been closed and forbidden ; I can say this because I've been in Egypt several times.
So this area may be a necropolis but those tunnels may date earlier. You may have some information about this area. But our claim is only the existance of those systems as many others in the area.
I should thank also to everybody trying to give some information to explain the matter.

I believe there are at least 25 miles of tunnels that connect many sites and most were for the delivery of water to the sites. The 4th Dynasty necropolis that was created at Giza utilized the already existing tunnels and cavities to create the so-called "rock-cut tombs" for officials, nobles etc. None of the posters nor the Egyptologists they so adhere to can explain how the dynastic people of 2500 BC could have carved these tunnels (or tombs) with the tool kits they present to us; namely, copper chisels and stone pounders. The tunnels show clear examples of advanced engineering. Please refer to my good friend and colleague Christopher Dunn's book, The Giza Power Plant, for a complete discussion of the engineering and machining impossibility of the dynastic people creating the tunnels.
"As for the tunnels at Sakkara being known for hundreds of years, so what? They never have been adequately explained as to how they were made and by whom! I was personally shown a tunnel at Sakkara that may lead to Giza, some 8 miles away! Now what "tomb" needs to be 8 miles long? And in all the tunnels I have been in there were no hieroglyphs, no niches cut for burials, no sarcophagi, and most were not wide enough for any possible funeral procession but showed clear evidence of water erosion. It has been known for years that the Supreme Council of Antiquities and Zahi Hawass have had to pump thousands of gallons of water out of the tunnels under the Giza Plateau before they could enter to investigate them. That was their main purpose, to bring water to the site!

A Chamber Beneath the Sphinx The conclusion of the Japanese work suggests that the sanctuary of the Sphinx contains more cavities below the Sphinx than were previously known. The combined data collected by the recent research at Giza resulted in the indications that there is/are:
1. Hollows located under the Sphinx as yet, not identified.
2. Cavities running from north to south underneath the Sphinx.
3. A tunnel south of the pyramid of Khufu ...Stephen Mehler In 1992, Stephen met Egyptian-born Egyptologist and Indigenous Wisdom Keeper, Abd’El Hakim Awyan. It is Hakim’s teachings about the ancient Khemitian civilization, well over 10,000 years old, that now forms the framework for Stephen’s current research.
Modern Riddle of the Ancient Sphinx Graham Hancock (Morgana's Observatory) In a series of expeditions between 1991 and 1993 led by John Anthony West, an independent Egyptologist, scientific investigators conducted geological and seismic surveys around the Great Sphinx of Egypt. A. Geology, The pattern of erosion on the Sphinx indicates that it was carved at the end of the last Ice Age, when heavy rains fell on the eastern Sahara -- perhaps more than 12,000 years ago.
